Recipe: Super Dark Chocolate-Covered Dates

Ingredients:
1. Co Chocolat Craft Couverture
2. 20 dates (pitted)
3. Assorted nuts (pecans, almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, walnuts)
4. Desiccated coconut, ground cacao for covering
5. Slivered almonds and pistachios (roughly chopped)
 

Co Chocolat Super Dark Chocolate Covered Dates

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Carefully slit each date with a knife and stuff with your choice of nuts.
2. Place dates in the freezer for approximately 15 minutes whilst melting the chocolate. Slowly melt the chocolate using a double boiler over low heat. Be careful not to overheat.
3. Line a tray with baking paper.
4. Take the dates out of the freezer and dip into the melted chocolate.
5. Place on lined tray and put back in the freezer for another 15 minutes.
6. Take the dates out of the freezer and again dip into the melted chocolate for the second coat.
7. Roll in slivered almonds and pistachios, coconut, chia seeds.
8. Place back onto the tray and into the fridge for 1 hour to set.
9. Keep stored in the fridge. These will last in the fridge for 2 weeks
