Community Feature for March 2026

The Art of Healing Through Food

Meet Dr Tejas — whose work is rooted in care, intention, and a quiet understanding of what it means to truly nourish ourselves.

In a time where the world can feel uncertain, her approach offers a softer perspective — one that brings us back to simple, grounding practices shaped by tradition, culture, and everyday living. Through her journey, she reminds us of the value of slowing down, listening inward, and finding balance in the small things.

Her story is a reflection of connection — to food, to people, and to the wisdom that often lives quietly within us.

Q and A :

1. How and when did you first hear about Co Chocolat?
I first discovered Co Chocolat about two years ago through the Community of Health Coaches of UAE that I am a part of. We were consciously looking for chocolates that were not just healthier/ tastier, but also aligned with sustainability and community values. Co Chocolat felt like a natural fit ~ something that honoured both taste and intention.

2. How would you describe your work, vocation, or passion, and what do you find most fulfilling about it?
My work comes from a deeply personal place of passion ~ rooted in Ayurveda, FoodMedicine & the microbiome.
What I find most fulfilling is witnessing that quiet “aha” moment in people ~ when they begin to connect the dots between ancestral wisdom and modern science. When something their grandmothers always said suddenly makes sense in today’s language.
To see that recognition, and then the spark to carry it forward in their own lives ~ that, for me, is everything.

3. How have your life experiences and exposure to different cultures shaped your perspective on the world?
Having lived in 6 countries and experienced many more through travel has been incredibly enriching. It has deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity, especially through the lens of food, which for me is a universal love language. It is a beautiful common thread ~ across cultures, food has always been a form of care, connection & healing.
Living in the Middle East, surrounded by such a vibrant mix of nationalities, has also cultivated a deep sense of cultural sensitivity and respect ~ something I value immensely in both my personal and professional spaces.

4. Do you have any advice for our community, especially for those who are still exploring their path?
Dream on ~  keep dreaming, evolving, expanding. Stay committed to your passion and keep refining it, because that is what sustains you over time. And at the same time, remain open to exploring new directions ~ sometimes the unexpected paths help you deepen and express your passion in ways you hadn’t imagined.

5. Which Co Chocolat products do you love the most?
This is always the toughest question 😊 If I had to choose, I would say the hot chocolates ~ the darker, the better. I love the depth of the 100% and 70%. And on some days, I find myself reaching for the Traditional Mayan blend ~ that subtle spice brings such a beautiful dimension to the experience 💛💛
