Community Feature for July 2026

Outside the Lines

This month, we feature Morgan Britt Butler, a Dubai-based fashion content creator whose love for colour, culture, and community shines through everything she shares online. From embracing individuality to building meaningful connections across cultures, she reflects on fashion as a form of self-expression—and why staying true to yourself never goes out of style.

From thoughtful reflections on culture and confidence to colourful fashion inspiration, she reminds us that the best style always starts with being unapologetically yourself.

Q AND A :

1. How and when did you first hear about Co Chocolat?

I first experienced Co Chocolate at an event years ago. They had a stall displaying their chocolates and some bits to taste. The chocolate bars were so lovely when I tried them that I bought some to take home that day. I’ve been a customer since. I keep coming back for the quality ingredients, beautiful presentation, and I love supporting a local brand that is truly amazing.

2. How would you describe your work, vocation, or passion, and what do you find most fulfilling about it?

I’m a fashion content creator and I share my love of colorful outfits, handbags, and my life in Dubai on my Instagram and TikTok, morganbrittbutler. I started sharing my looks to help people interested in adding more color to their wardrobe. I’ve also been collecting handbags for over 20 years. I share my journey and tips for people also interested in bags so I can help them avoid some of the mistakes I’ve made along the way. My content has always been community focused and I only share things I truly love. While fashion content might not be changing the world, it definitely warms my heart when I get DMs from people saying my content inspired them to experiment with color in their wardrobe or that they tried a product or place I recommended and enjoyed it. It feels like helping a friend out but thousands of times.

3. How have your life experiences and exposure to different cultures shaped your perspective on the world?

Exposure to different cultures changed my life. I grew up in a conservative southern state in America where thinking or doing something different would mean you would be made fun of as a kid. Needless to say, I never truly fit in. I took the first opportunity I had to leave by going to college in New York. The school I went to had a large percentage of international students and this was my first taste of how truly diverse and beautiful the world can be if you have curiosity about other cultures. I asked questions about their lives, how they grew up, and their culture and I learned there are many ways things can be done and that is something to celebrate and not shame. Now I have a multicultural friend group where we all celebrate each other’s holidays together, I’ve lived abroad (Dubai for 12 years), and my husband is from India and we have a multi religious house hold. These things feel natural and normal because I was lucky enough to get out of the bubble I grew up in and took the opportunity to learn and grow from other cultures. Today it’s so much easier with technology to get this exposure to other cultures and I highly recommend doing so if you have the desire to expand your mind. Even if you can’t travel or move out of your bubble, you can ready, study, and use social media to connect with people all over the world to see how they live, think, and work. It can change your life if you are open to learning. It changed mine.

4. Do you have any advice for our community, especially for those who are still exploring their path?

In a world where everyone loves to follow a trend, be true to yourself, explore what you like, and don’t shrink yourself to fit into someone’s expectations. It’s a very hard thing to do, but getting comfortable being unapologetically yourself will help you find what is right for you faster. In terms of fashion, finding your style is about expiration and you can do this before spending any money. Get into a dressing room, try tons of things on, and take note of what suits you and makes you feel good. Do this in several stores to craft your style and then invest in the pieces that make you feel like the person you want to be vs buying what’s on trend. This is how you will build a wardrobe you will wear for years that will also make you feel great.

5. Which Co Chocolat products do you love the most?

I love the bars the most but I appreciate Co Chocolate has so many gluten free options as well since I’m gluten intolerant. I’m a matcha girlie so of course my favorite bar is the “Eat Your Greens.” It has a light matcha flavor and a nice crunch inside as well. I also love the gift boxes for occasions. For Eid and Christmas these are my go to gifts for my friends.
