Q AND A :
1. How and when did you first hear about Co Chocolat?
Luchie and I used to work in the same company in Dubai, so I witnessed the birth of Co Chocolat from the very beginning. If I didn’t hear updates directly from her, I heard them from our colleagues. When Co Chocolat opened in Dubai Mall, I became a regular customer — I lived nearby and visited the mall often, so it quickly became one of my favorite stops.
2. How would you describe your work, vocation, or passion, and what do you find most fulfilling about it?
As a child, I dreamt of becoming a pharmacist, but life had a different plan, and I found my path in Human Resources. Over the years, I’ve worked across various HR functions, but what keeps me inspired is my passion for people — their growth, development, and wellbeing. I also love that no two days are ever the same.
3. How have your life experiences and exposure to different cultures shaped your perspective on the world?
I come from a small, landlocked country that is naturally quite closed, so living in a multicultural environment has been an incredible learning experience. It wasn’t always easy, but as a friend once told me, an experience doesn’t have to be positive — it just has to be strong.
Interacting with people from different cultures broadens your horizons. You realize that while happiness is universal, the paths we take to reach it can be very different. My favorite way to explore cultures is through food — it always comes with stories and has a beautiful way of connecting people.
4. Do you have any advice for our community, especially for those who are still exploring their path?
Stay open to every opportunity that comes your way and maintain a positive mindset. Even if something seems small or insignificant, it can still be a valuable learning experience that helps us grow. Sometimes the smallest events lead to the biggest, most life changing moments. When you radiate positive energy, it has a way of finding its way back to you.
5. Which Co Chocolat products do you love the most?
I’m a big fan of the spreads and the monster cookies — those are my go to treats whenever I visit Co Chocolat. They satisfy my cravings, and I love that they’re made with healthier ingredients, so I never feel guilty enjoying them.
