Blog: Community Feature for the Month of November

This November, we’re spotlighting Krishna — a creative force in the UAE whose love for culture, storytelling, and unique experiences first led her to Co Chocolat. From the moment she heard about our workshops and factory tours, she felt an instant connection. And discovering a brand in the UAE with a mission that resonated with her made the experience even more meaningful.

Q&A:

How and when did you first hear about Co Chocolat?

I’m a big chocolate person, and I first heard about Co Chocolat from a colleague who loves brands that offer unique experiences. She told me about the workshops, factory tours, and how the brand is Filipina-owned — so I got curious. When I looked it up, I was impressed by how elevated everything felt, and even more impressed when I finally tried the chocolate. It’s smooth, delicious, and grounded in a beautiful mission.

As someone who’s deeply connected to my Filipino roots, I love that Co Chocolat sources ethically from Filipino farmers. It feels special to have a UAE brand championing cacao from home. Since then, I always grab my favorite hot chocolate or chocolate cooler whenever they pop up around Dubai, and I often buy their chocolates as gifts — especially during Christmas.

How would you describe your work, vocation, or passion, and what do you find most fulfilling about it?

I’m a creative based in the UAE, and my work revolves around building brands that move culture. What fulfills me most is being able to support fellow artists and creatives — opening doors, creating visibility, and helping shape the cultural landscape here.

How have your life experiences and exposure to different cultures shaped your perspective on the world?

Life experiences and exposure to different cultures have made me richer as a person. They’ve expanded how I see the world and taught me to approach creativity with more openness, curiosity, and respect for different perspectives.

Do you have any advice for our community, especially for those still exploring their path?

Find spaces where you feel inspired and supported — join a community, attend events, or be part of a book club. Being around people who share your curiosity can shift your whole journey.

Which Co Chocolat products do you love the most?

I don’t usually go for chocolates with nuts, but That Skinny is the exception. I absolutely love it — it’s smooth, balanced, and my favorite bar from the Co Chocolat collection.
