Blog: Community Feature for the Month of February

While sharing the goodness of Finally, Truly Healthy Chocolates®, our community has grown as clients have become friends.

This month we shine our spotlight on Zeena Zalamea, a broadcast producer,  journalist and a certified chocolover.

Curious to learn more about Zeena, we asked her a few questions:

1. How and when did you first hear about Co Chocolat?

I heard about Co-Chocolat from my colleagues at the radio station. They're big fans of both the healthy chocolates AND the founders.

2. How would you describe your work, vocation, or passion, and what do you find most fulfilling about it?

I am a broadcaster, producer and co-founder of a global podcast agency.
This space is all about telling powerful stories and ensuring every second of air time is worth the audience's time and attention.

Being in a position to amplify people's voices and make an impact is a privilege I never take for granted. When a hardworking small business owner gets a shoutout, or a community leader's initiatives are acknowledged on air, I'm reminded of why I love what I do.

3. How have your life experiences and exposure to different cultures shaped your perspective on the world?

When I moved to Dubai, I knew very little about the world. I had to learn other people's cultures, look at things from different perspectives and think BIG. Nothing about the Dubai experience is "local". It's a place where it's possible to go global no matter where you are in your career, business or life.

4. Do you have any advice for our community, especially for those who are still exploring their path?

Exploring is the fun part! Trying out different things shapes your character and teaches you many things about yourself. And when you do find that thing you love the most, congratulate yourself and celebrate the highs and the lows that got you there.

5. Which Co Chocolat products do you love the most?

I can't just choose one. The Bestseller Bundle is a classic! Then there's the hot chocolate with the mini whisk and batirol. Love making it.

The conscious cookies are a family favourite. And finally, the chocolate factory tour is an amazing experience - my children learned a lot about how cocoa is harvested and how it helps farmers in the Philippines, and enjoyed wrapping their chocolate bars!

Co Community Feature of the Month
What do they all have in common? The same values and love for honestly good chocolates while savoring wellness and health may it be physical or mental.

Those fun encounters with our customers that started with chocolates and food eventually led to interesting, and inspiring conversations. We discovered their passions through these exchanges and with our community growing bigger and more diverse each day, we figured it would just be awesome if we can inspire more people with fun and interesting features about our friends in the Co Chocolat Community.
